The Gosnells Hawks Football Club is hosting a reunion for their 1970 premiership team coached by Tim Wright this Saturday the 22nd August at the club rooms, Gosnells Oval, Terrence Street, Gosnells. All league and reserves players, partners and club supporters are invited to attend the function.

The victory in the Grand Final by 3 points over hot favourites Belmont Victoria Park is regarded by members as one of the club’s greatest victories.

The league and reserve teams play Quinns District with the reserves starting at 1.05 pm and the league at 2.45 pm.

Gosnells player Ryan Davies will play his 300th club game this week and is approaching club legend Ray Minson’s record of 307 games held for 33 years.

For the members and supporters who would like to celebrate this milestone with Ryan and his family, Ryan will be playing in the league team.

The reserve team is only one game out of the top four and a realistic chance to play finals under coach Paul Clements.

The thirds team has qualified for the finals in 2nd place on the ladder and will play Kalamunda in the Qualifying Final at Ray Owen Reserve, Kalamunda at 2.30 pm on Saturday.

At half time in the league game the Gosnells and Huntingdale juniors will be playing an exhibition game to promote our junior councils. Members are encouraged to support our young footballers by attending this game.
