The Gosnells Hawks Football Club league and reserve teams bounced back from defeats last week with hard fought victories over Hamersley Carine. The league game was close all day with the scores level late in the last quarter but the Hawks prevailed in a thriller to win by 7 points. Final scores Gosnells 9.6 (60) Hamersley Carine 8.5 (53). Michael Handgraaf, Jye Clements, Drew Robinson and Caleb Goodhew were best for the Hawks.

The reserves showed improved form with a narrow 2 point victory. Coach Steve Davis is of the opinion that his team will improve further and will be a finals contender again this year. Final scores Gosnells 7.6 (48) Hamersley Carine 6.10 (46).

The third team tried hard but found Coolbinia too good on the day. Liam Stevens, Lam Le, Russell Fuller and Michael Cohen played well.

The colts struggled against a classy opposition in Forrestdale. Final scores Forrestdale 20.10 (130) Gosnells 1.8 (14). Blake Pickett, Oscar Taylor, Adam Jones and Leslie Pickett were best players.

The women’s team came back from a victory last week with a 52 point loss to Nollamara. Final scores were Nollamara 11.5 (71) Gosnells 3.1 (19). Tyler, Price, Louise Knitter, Richelle McKenzie and Ashleigh Rickard were best for Gosnells.
