With the team recording several massive victories in recent weeks Coach Steve Davis has the problem of finding positions in the team for several players coming back from the league, from personal leave and injury. Final scores were Gosnells 23.15 Stirling 1.6 (12). Alex Taylor promoted from the thirds for this game was adjudged best player with Luke Drew, Henry Woods and Luke Chapman (7 goals) all playing well.

The new Metro League team with some new players and good numbers is developing into a strong unit. It will be interesting to see how they progress during the latter part of the season. On the remaining fixture in round 1 is on Saturday the 9 June with the league, reserves & colts playing Bullcreek Leeming at Beasley Park while the thirds play Ellenbrook at Ellenbrook District Open Space Oval at 3.20 pm.

It is unfortunate that thirds are not fixtured to play on the same day as the league, reserves & colts for the rest of the season. The next time most members will get to support the thirds will be in the finals. Good luck to Sam and his boys for the rest of the year.

The Sunday Metro team play Queens Park at Queens Park Reserve at 2.40 pm on Sunday 10 June and the women play Cockburn Lakes at Anning Park at 2 pm on Sunday.

Congratulations to the following two players who will achieve milestones this week. Nathan Hansen will play his 200 club game and Daniel Fitzgerald his 100 club game. Members are encouraged to get to the grounds and “get around” both Panther and Fitzi.
