The Gosnells Hawks Football Club recorded three victories and suffered three defeats last week. The league team continued in a mid season slump by going down by 34 points to Willetton. A win this week against Quinns District is essential if this team is to see action in the finals. Final scores were Willetton 14.14 (98) Gosnells 9.10 (64). Best players for the Hawks were Scott Lewis, Jayden Woods, Robert Davis and Levi Gallagher.

The reserves continue to play exciting football recording a seventh straight victory with a win over Willetton last week. This week the team plays third placed Quinns District and this should give an indication of how the team is travelling in search of an elusive premiership.  Final scores were Gosnells 9.9 (63) Willetton 6.4 (40). Best on ground for the Hawks were Ryan Davies, Damien Taylor, Dmayne Brown and Michael Handgraaf.

The thirds remain unbeaten with ten wins but play second placed Forrestfield this week which should be an interesting game. Final scores last week were Gosnells 18.14 Melville 5.2 (32) Best on ground for the Hawks were Bryan Lutter, Justin Abernathy, Richard Marsden and Kyle Wood.

The colts went down to Willetton. Final scores were Willetton 16.5 (102) Gosnells 4.12 (36). Best for the Hawks were Tom Stevens, Cailem Narkle, Michael Vidich and Les Curley.

The women’s Hawks found Nollamara far too skilful. Final scores were Nollamara 9.12 (66) Gosnells 2.5 (17). Best on ground for the Hawks were Rochelle McKenzie, Lisa Gilewski, Uershia Nelson and Brooke Hardy.

The metro boy dug deep and held off a determined Dwellingup to record a 38 point victory in what was an entertaining game of football. Final scores were Gosnells 19.12 Dwellingup 14.4 (88).Best for the Hawks were Matthew Brooks, Rodney Hansen, Jeremy Hilbers and Ryan Leach.

This week the league, reserves and colts are home to Quinns District at Gosnells Oval on Saturday. The thirds play Forrestfield at 2.30 pm at John Reid Oval (Hartfield Park). The women play Forrestdale on Sunday at Gosnells Oval at 12.30 pm. The metro boys have a bye.
