The Gosnells Hawks Football Club’s reserve and third teams recorded victories last week but other teams were unsuccessful. The league team gave up a 19 point lead at three quarter time go down by 2 points to Carlisle. Another loss this week could see the team drop out of the top 5 for the first time this year. Final scores were Carlisle 10.11 (71) Gosnells 9.15 (69). Best on ground for the Hawks were Jayden Woods, Tristan Edgill, Cam Hayden and Josh Hall.

The reserves carried on their excellent form with a convincing win over Carlisle. Coach Steve Davis has his team travelling well at the moment sitting on top of the premiership ladder. Final scores were Gosnells 18.3 (111) Carlisle 2.5 (17). Dmayne Brown, Lindsay Williams, Brett Endersby and Wade Gallagher were better players for Gosnells.

The thirds continue to impress with another easy win. Final scores were Gosnells 16.8 (104) Swan Valley 3.1 (19). Dan Fitzgerald, Bryan Lutter, Cam Pate and Ethan Barry all played well.

The colts tried hard but found Carlisle too strong. Final scores were Carlisle 16.9 (105) Gosnells 3.7 (25). Tom Stevens, Coree Thomson, Raymond Shaw and Liam Adams were best players for the Hawks.

The women’s team suffered its first big loss with a 54 point defeat by top team Rossmoyne. Final scores were Rossmoyne 9.6 Gosnells 1.0 (6). Jade Turton, Siobhan Roche, Kathleen Kelly and Chantal Papendorf were better players for Gosnells.

The Metro League team struggled against a classy unit in Safety Bay. Final scores were Safety Bay 25.17 Gosnells 3.7 (25). Best on ground for Gosnells were Tim Mavric, Marley Nelson, Devon Coyne and Duane Rochford.

This Saturday the league, reserves and colts play Willetton at Burrendah Reserve.  The amended starting times are colts at 9.30 am, reserves 1.10 am and league at 3.10 pm. The thirds are home to Melville at 2.30pm.

The women’s team play Nollamara and the metro boys take on Dwellingup with both games at Gosnells Oval Sunday 1 July.
