Gosnells Hawks take on Willetton in the League, Reserves and Colts at Gosnells Oval on Saturday, with Thirds taking on Piara Waters.
The Gosnells Football & Sports Club would like to honour and remember the sacrifices of the original ANZAC’s and to pay respect to our service men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation. A minute silence will be held before each game.
Those attending are encouraged to wear medals.
There will be an afternoon tea in the Percy Garrett Social Room at half time in the League game at 3.30 pm.
The games will be dedicated to the Anzac Tradition. Members of the public are invited attend and to take part in the ceremonies.
Games start at 10.40 am, 12.35 pm, 2.30 pm and 4.45pm.
A Medal for the Fairest & Best Gosnells player in the League game has been named in memory of Terry Barratt, a brother of past President and Life Member Norm Barratt and William Paul Hansen, father of Life Member and former Club Captain Nathan Hansen. Both Terry and William served in the Australian Army in Vietnam.
The Medal will be presented by Mrs Pat Websdale, wife of William. Mrs Websdale will also be invited to toss the coin prior to the commencement of the League game.
Terry played football for Gosnells, and William for Kelmscott, in the Sunday Football League.
