Preseason training has commenced for the Gosnells Hawks Football Club with good numbers attending training on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 6 pm at Gosnells Oval. The club will compete in C1 and E Grade Divisions of the Western Australian Amateur Football League in 2018. The colts grade is yet to be determined.

President Michael “Slick” McCaughan said the club has been promoted to C1 this season and competing in the higher grade will bring challenges but is confident the club can perform well in the new grade and have a successful year.

Corey Bertram has been reappointed head coach of the club. Corey is excited about his reappointment and is looking at promoting young talent from the Hawks successful colts team from last year. The committee has reappointed Steve Davis as reserves coach and Paul Clements as the colts coach. Sam Parker has joined the coaching panel as the E Grade coach.

The maximum age for colt’s players was extended by 12 months in the 2013 season. All players turning 20 in 2018 are eligible to play in that competition in 2018. Any person wishing to join a progressive club, keep fit and enjoy a game of Australian Rules Football is invited to join the Gosnells Football Club. New players are welcome

This season the club will field a women’s team. New coach Mogan Jenyns would like to hear from interested players on mob 0418 510 921.Training is at Gosnells Oval, Terrence Street Gosnells Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 7 pm.

The club is looking for volunteers for central & boundary umpires, runners, water boys, a time keeper. Any person interested may help the club by nominating for any of these positions. For further information please contact club on telephone 9398 3328 or email goshawks@bigpond.com.

Gosnells Football Club was established in 1911 has a proud record of 16 league premierships and has some of the best facilities in the competition.
